Vietnam big corporations are starting to take action to complete the Government’s Net-Zero goal by 2050. It demonstrates its community responsibility to consumers, and Mobile World Group (MWG) is no exception.
On October 18th, MWG signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CAS to cooperate in implementing green energy and circular economy projects. Accordingly, CAS partner will install solar systems on the roofs of Bach Hoa Xanh supermarkets combined with organic waste treatment. More specifically: CAS will collect organic waste at Bach Hoa Xanh store and process it into organic nutrients for agriculture.

Initially, the project will be deployed at 50 Bach Hoa Xanh stores in Thu Duc City and Ho Chi Minh City and expected to expand throughout the chain with more than 1,700 Bach Hoa Xanh stores in the future. Therefore, this collaborative project to reduce carbon emissions in the Bach Hoa Xanh chain of stores is a big step forward on MWG’s path to achieving Net-Zero by 2050.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Doan Trung Hieu – General Director of Tan Tam JSC, head of MWG Renewable Energy Project, stated: “MWG always strives to improve operations to contribute positively to the environment, especially through the transition to using renewable energy. Then, we believe that this project will positively contribute to a greener Vietnamese environment”
Mr. Le Ba Hoang – National Sales Manager of Bach Hoa Xanh continued: “The environment is important to our lives and future generations. As a leading retailer, we want to pioneer activities towards sustainable development – circular economy and consider this our goal and responsibility; along with business development and positive contributions to the community”
And Mr. Tran Anh Dong – CAS representative expressed: “CAS Energy always leading and aim to contribute to community and social sustainable development, toward to a Green & Circular Economy. Therefore, we applied advanced and effective technology into greening solutions to provide to our customers and partners full-package solutions, well practice ESG, turn it into an opportunity to develop and enhance the competitiveness of both sides”
